Earnings-

1. Maruti Suzuki Q3 net profit up 3.7% YoY at Rs. 3,794 Cr

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices, closed higher for the second consecutive session on January 28, 2026. This extension of the rally was primarily driven by continued optimism surrounding the landmark India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and robust buying in heavyweights like BEL and ONGC. Among sectors, media, metal, energy, oil & gas, realty, PSU Bank up 1-4%, while FMCG, Consumer Durables, pharma ended lower. At close, the Sensex was up 487.20 points or 0.60% at 82,344.68. The Nifty was up 167.35 points or 0.66% at 25,342.75.

Rupee ended at 91.78/$ against January 27, 2026, close of 91.72/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Suzlon Energy rose 4.27% to Rs. 47.81, after the company announced wind energy order from ArcelorMittal.

2. Gopal Snacks jumped 4.67% to Rs. 311.50, after the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs. 15.5 crore in Q3 FY26, which is nearly three times the PAT of Rs. 5.3 crore posted in Q3 FY25.

3. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) gained 8.30% to Rs. 268.65, after the company announced the signing of shipbuilding contracts for two Indian-flag Very Large Ethane Carriers.
