Market Update- Sensex gains 160 points, Nifty above 25,100

Indian markets have staged a notable recovery after a shaky start this morning, January 27, 2026. The markets recovered following positive global cues. Sentiment was significantly bolstered by the formal conclusion of the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement. At 2.58 pm, Sensex rose by 0.21% or 164 points to 81,703. The Nifty gained 0.34% or 85 points to 25,135.

Asia-Pacific markets rose, tracking gains on Wall Street.

European stocks gained after EU lands ‘mother of all deals’ with India.
