Indian indices-

Indian benchmark indices recovered sharply from their intraday lows on August 25, 2026, as strong buying in select heavyweight stocks and improved investor sentiment helped the market reverse early losses. The markets staged a robust rebound through the day, supported by gains across key sectors. At close, the Sensex was up 286.98 points or 0.37% at 77,656.09, and the Nifty was up 115.50 points or 0.48% at 24,334.55.

Rupee closed at 95.41/$ Vs. August 24 close of 95.75/$.

1. Hindustan Copper down 7.04% to Rs. 533.20, after Govt. to divest up to 6% Equity Via OFS.

2. Sigma Advanced Systems shares hit 5% upper circuit at Rs. 693.20, on £125 million Rolls-Royce deal via UK arm.

Global Signals-

Asian shares climbed broadly, supported by strong buying in technology and financial stocks.

European markets traded higher as investors digested economic data and upbeat corporate earnings.
