Post Market Update- Indian markets decline for second session

Stocks in the news-

1. Kalpataru Projects bagged multiple domestic orders worth Rs. 2,349 Cr in T&D, B&F Businesses.

2. Transrail Lighting gets orders Worth Rs. 927 Cr mainly in its Domestic Power T&D Business.

Earnings-

1. Adani Green Energy Q2 net profit rose 16% to Rs. 747 Cr.

2. SRF Q2 net profit rose 31.2% YoY to Rs. 509 Cr.

Indian indices-

The benchmark indices ended lower for the second consecutive session on October 21, weighed down by persistent selling pressure and cautious investor sentiment. At close, the Sensex was down 143.21 points or 0.19% at 73,709.69, and the Nifty was down 77.60 points or 0.34% at 22,811.35.

Rupee closed at 94.46/$ Vs Monday’s close of 94.93/$.

1. Transrail Lighting rose 4.09% to Rs. 469.15, on order win impact.

2. Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India gained 1.14% to Rs. 200.15, after Q2 net profit up 11.76% YoY at Rs. 19.95 Cr Vs. Rs. 17.85 Cr.

3. SML Mahindra hit a 10% lower circuit at Rs. 5,514.75, after the company’s net profit declined 44.5% on year to Rs. 11.7 crore in Q2FY27.

4. Waaree Renewable Technologies (WRTL) declined 10.11% to Rs. 742.60, after the company reported 29.98% fall in consolidated net profit to Rs. 81.48 crore in Q2 FY27 compared with Rs 116.36 crore in Q2 FY26.
