Indian indices-

The benchmark indices declined on October 22, 2026, extending their losing streak to a third consecutive session as elevated crude oil prices and weak global market cues dampened investor sentiment. Broad-based selling pressure was visible across sectors, with most sectoral indices ending in the red. At close, the Sensex was down 460.30 points or 0.62% at 73,249.39, and the Nifty was down 123.70 points or 0.54% at 22,687.65.

Rupee closed at 94.82/$ Vs. Wednesday’s close of 94.46/$.

Buzzing stocks on BSE-

1. Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) jumped 4.16% to Rs. 783.30, after the company’s consolidated net profit jumped 22.66% to Rs. 349.49 crore in Q2 FY27 compared with Rs 284.92 crore in Q2 FY26.

2. International Gemological Institute (IGI) surged 10% to Rs. 352.35, after the company reported a 43.19% jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 185.84 in Q2 FY27, compared with Rs 129.79 crore in Q2 FY26.

3. Balkrishna Industries (BKT) gained 3.45% to Rs. 2,109, on proposed 50:50 Pirelli JV for passenger car tyres.

4. 360 ONE WAM rose 1.53% to Rs. 1048.80, after allotting 2.05 crore equity shares to UBS AG following the conversion of warrants.
