Indian stock markets were trading largely flat with a slight positive bias, as investors remain cautious ahead of the upcoming Q1 earnings season and key global economic cues. The gains in the market were supported by IT stocks which maintain overall market sentiment. At 1.11 pm, Sensex rose by 0.14% or 118 points to 78,403. Nifty gained 0.15% or 33 points to 24,463.
Asian markets traded lower, led by sharp declines in South Korea and Japan as technology stocks faced selling pressure.
Markets end higher on strong TCS revenue and cooling crude prices.
