The Indian stock market extended its losses on July 08, 2026, after a sharp rise in oil prices sparked by renewed escalation in the Iran–US conflict, dampening investor sentiment and triggering broad-based selling across sectors. At 12.32 pm, Sensex fell by 0.78% or 633 points to 77,552. The Nifty dipped 0.81% or 188 points to 24,211.
