Market Report- Sensex down 570 pts; Nifty below 25,250

The benchmark indices were trading in red on January 30, 2026, as selling was seen among index heavyweights. Investors awaited the Union Budget 2026 scheduled to be presented on February 1, 2026. The stock markets will remain open on Sunday. At 9.30 am, Sensex slipped by 0.69% or 570 points to 81,997. The Nifty dipped by 0.72% or 179 points to 25,245.

Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed after US President Donald Trump said that he will announce his choice for the next Federal Reserve chair on Friday.
