Our Company received certificate of commencement of business on September 21, 2011. The registered office of our Company is situated at Unit- VIII, Plot No. 7, Bhoinagar, Bubaneshwar, Orissa-751012 and its principal office is situated at Birla Building, 13th floor, 9/1, R. N Mukherjee Road, Kolkatta-700001. Orient Cement is certified for both ISO 9001:2008, and ISO 14001:2004 and also OHSAS 18001:2007 from Det Norske Veritas, Netherlands. In fact, Devapur plant is the first cement plant in Andhra Pradesh to be certified for ISO 14001:2004 by DNV, in recognition of its outstanding environment management system. 2012 -Orient Cement's Clinker Grinding Unit, Jalgaon was felicitated by the Deputy Commissioner of Sales Tax, Jalgaon for bring the Highest Tax Payer in Dhulia division for the FY 2011-12 on Vikrikar Day. -Orient Cement was awarded the "Best Paper Award' for its presentation of a Technical Paper on Improvement of Raw Mill-3 production to 300 TPH at residue 16% on 90 micron at the 31st All India Cement Seminar 2012 by the Madurai Productivity Council at Pune. 2013 -Orient Cement Ltd has recommended final dividend @ Rs. 2/- (200%) per share on Equity Shares of Re. 1/- each. -Orient Cement's Clinker Grinding Unit, Jalgaon records its highest ever Production (1550786 MT) and Dispatch (1550552 MT) respectively. -Orient Cement has been awarded the prestigious "Golden Peacock Occupational Health And Safety Award -2013 in Cement Sector for its contribution towards Health & Safety of the Employees. 2014 -Orient Cement Ltd has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.75 per share on Equity Shares of Re. 1 each of the Company making a total dividend of Rs. 1.50 per share including interim dividend declared. -Orient Cement has achieved the prestigious "Greentech Safety Silver award 2014" in Cement sector from Greentech Foundation, New Delhi for contribution towards best practices in Safety & Health Management. 2015 -Orient Cement is awarded the prestigious Greentech Environment Gold award 2015 2016 -Orient Cement acquires Jaypee cement units for Rs 1,950 cr 2018 -Orient Cement acquires 2 Jaypee units for Rs 2,000cr -Orient Cement has agreed to buy 74% stake in Bhilai Cement plant from JP Associates -Orient Cement gets green nod for Karnataka plant 2022-The Company has approved an additional investment of Rs. 11.49 lakhs through a combination of equity shares and compulsory convertible debentures thereby increasing the total cost of acquisition from Rs. 4.05 crores to Rs. 4.16 crores for necessary authority for entering into Share Purchase, Subscription and Shareholder's (Amendment) Agreement with AMPSolar Technology Private Limited and AMPSolar Systems Private Limited for retention of 26% stake in the share capital of AMPSolar Systems Private Limited.2023 -Commissioning of Waste Heat Recovery System. -The Company has entered into Share Subscription and Shareholders' Agreement with Ardeur  Renewables Private Limited and Cleantech Solar India OA 2 Pte. Ltd on July 21, 2023 for acquisition of 28.52% stake in the share capital of Ardeur Renewables Private Limited for putting up two solar power plants with capacity of 16MWdc in Karnataka (Project 1) and capacity of 5.5MWdc in Maharashtra (Project 2), under Captive Scheme.2024 -Adani Group, has signed a binding agreement for the acquisition of Orient Cement Ltd (OCL) at an equity value of Rs. 8,100 crore. -The Company has commissioned 2nd phase of Waste Heat Recovery System ( WHRS ) at its Chittapur Integrated Cement Plant. 2025-The Company has Approved the Scheme of Amalgamation of Orient Cement Limited with Ambuja Cements Limited.
