RBL Bank reported a strong Q2FY27, with net profit up 170% YoY to Rs. 482 crore.
NII grew 37% YoY to Rs. 2,131 crore as NIM expanded 48bps QoQ to 4.61%.
With opex up only 3% YoY, cost-to-income improved to 56.5% (70.7% a year ago), lifting operating profit 92% YoY to Rs. 1,396 crore, though provisions rose 53% to Rs. 771 crore.
Advances grew 42% YoY to Rs. 1.42 lakh crore, led by wholesale (+56%) and secured retail (+52%), while deposits rose 34%, aided by FCNR mobilisation.
GNPA/NNPA improved to 1.02%/0.29%. RoA rose to 0.92%, while RoE stays low at 4.4% given the large capital buffer (CAR 30.1%).
