GVK Group is a Hyderabad based multi product and multi-location business conglomerate with several integrated companies in India and abroad. IHCL is a TATA enterprise with a chain of hotels owning the Taj Group of Hotels and manages and operates various hotels across the country and abroad. The Company owns & operates three five star hotels in Hyderabad and one five star hotel each in the cities of Chennai, Chandigarh and one 5 star luxury hotel at Mumbai through joint venture company i.e Green Woods Palaces and Resorts Pvt Ltd. 2001 - The Company has issued 1,25,39,599 No. of equity shares to the shareholders of Novopan Industries Ltd and Hotel Sree Krishna Ltd. 2003 - Taj Hotels reopens Grand Ballroom with modern facilities following the revonation of the Taj Krishna hotel, Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces has re-opened the `Grand Ballroom' after spending around Rs 6 crore. 2004 -Taj Krishna joins elite hotels list 2005 -African co joins hands with Taj hotels -SriLankan Airlines ties up with Taj Hotels -Company has splits its Face value of Shares from Rs 10 to Rs 2 2009 - Taj Gvk Hotels & Resorts Limited has appointed Mr. Krishnaram Bhupal and Mr. M B N Rao as additional Directors on the Board of Directors of the Company with effect From October 24, 2009. 2010 -Taj unveils new brand in Sri Lanka -Taj Gvk Hotels has recommended a dividend of Rs. 2/- per share of face value Rs. 2/- each 2011 -Taj Gvk Hotels launched its website www.tajgvk.in -Taj Gvk Hotels has recommended a dividend of Rs. 2/- per share of face value Rs. 2/- each 2012 -Ch G.
