The company was incorporated on 17th November, 1962, as a private company and converted into a public company on 9th September 1963. The company is a manufacturer of and dealer in various types of structural steel works, industrial machinery and glass lined chemical vessels. During 1982-83, the company entered into a technical collaboration agreement with M/s.De Dietrich & Cie, France for glasslined equipment. It entered into a technical cum financial agreement with Pfaudler Companies Inc. USA. Electrical Instruments Manufacturing Company Limited was amalgamated with the Company with effect from 1st January, 1979. The company has entered into an investment and technical collaboration agreement with Pfaudler-Balfour companies Inc, USA, which owns 40% of the total issued share capital of the company.
