The Sensex and Nifty are trading in the green led by gains in private bank stocks. As of 10:30 am, the Sensex was trading 400.53 points higher at 75,583.89, while the Nifty was up 110.65 points at 23,765.35. About 1,921 shares advanced versus 1,399 declines. The pharma, media and realty counters remained stressed. Broader markets lagged the benchmark indices, while the India VIX stayed above 18.5.
